Serenity: A Concert of Classical Music

We welcome a group of Vermont’s finest musicians to give a concert of classical masterpieces on February 10 at 4 p.m. The concert will feature trios by Debussy and Mozart, as well as Beethoven’s wonderful duet for bassoon and clarinet. There will also be music for organ and harp by Cesar Franck and Marcel Grandjany. Our guest musicians will include Stefanie Taylor, Court Gettel, Jennifer Hoult, Barry Cohan and Wesley Christensen. Continuing Grace Church’s support of local charities, a free will offering will be accepted for Serenity House (recoveryhousevt.org).


Festive Choral Evensong – February 11 at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal

Our series of evening services continues with a Festive Choral Evensong at 4:00 p.m. on
February 11th at Trinity Episcopal Church. Grace Church and Trinity Episcopal choirs will combine to sing beautiful music for the Feast of the Transfiguration. The service will include anthems by Richard Lloyd, John Joubert and Charles Wood. All are welcome to join the choir, with two rehearsals at Trinity Church on February 4th and 11th from 2 to 4pm. A reception will follow the service. The next evening service will be at Grace Church on Pentecost Sunday, May 20th.


February 11 – Youth Sunday

Morning worship will be led by the youth of Grace Church. Joyful Noise will sing traditional spirituals, and we will enjoy vocal and instrumental solos from our talented teens. It is wonderful to have such a wealth of talent in our younger members at Grace Church!

Tuesday, February 13 at 5:30 p.m.
Join us for a Shrove Tuesday dinner featuring pancakes, sausage, latkes, fruit, faschnuts, and beverages!  Come learn about this pre-Lenten celebration and join in the fun. Bring a favorite board game.

Dinner at 5:30 p.m. … Worship at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
Mark the beginning of Lent with an Ash Wednesday Meal and Worship Service as together we enter the Lenten discipline through a Service of Ashes. Quiet reflection, guided prayer, and scripture will lead us as we offer ourselves once again as pilgrims on a spiritual journey.  Join us for this meaningful time of fellowship and worship.
